POLE DANCE TRY-OUT WORKSHOP

Do you dream of strengthening your whole body while having fun? Forget boring sports... pole dancing is for you. You don't need to be strong or flexible before starting, you will get it all with practice.

Pole dance might seem impressive at first but pole dance is accessible to each person whatever their age or fitness level. Pole dance is for all ages and body shapes! A fun and original way to build strength, flexibility and most of all self-confidence!

19/10: Discovering the Core self &
cultivating belonging through breathing

Immersive workshop by Anastasiya Makhnovska where we will explore the power of our breathing and create more ease and comfort within our bodies. 

This workshop is for you if: 

  • you are curious to learn more about the physiology of respiration and discover how optimal breathing can transform your posture and your emotional state
  • you feel a lot of build up tension in your body, that stays there even after stretching and mobility work 
  • you feel tired and restless 
  • you experience recurring lower back pain, stuck neck, shoulder tension 
  • you are looking for new ways to work with your body and are ready to dive deep and get curious about movement 
  • you are not looking for a "magic pill" or "one perfect exercise" that will solve all of your problems
  • you want to discover effective tools you can practice at home
  • you want to share a safe space with like minded women, where you are free to experiment with movement and get warm support from fellow movers

What you will get:

  • basic knowledge of physiology of respiration, where we will test together to see how your breathing pattern works and what can be improved
  • somatic movement practice where I will guide you to explore your breathing and how it affects your posture and your emotions
  • effective tools and specific exercises to increase the mobility of the ribcage & chest and help you release tension around diaphragm
  • expansion of your current capacity to feel grounded and belonging within your body 
  • experience of being in a group of like minded women and feeling safe and seen 

After this workshop you will:


  • feel lightness and ease
  • go home with a set of tools to continue improving your breathing pattern and further cultivating the knowledge and understanding of how your body works and what it is saying to you

With 25 years of dance & movement background, I help women to shift from overusing their body and ignoring its signals to cultivating more awareness and having it support their active lifestyle. Using various methods like functional and postural fitness, Pilates, dance and somatic education I create an experience where each of you feel seen and together we discover YOUR way to start moving with more ease, joy and confidence and find true belonging within your body.

CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY:
– You have a 24 hour cancellation window. If you cancel 12 hours before the start of the class, the credit will return to your account. Any later cancellations will NOT be refunded.
– If DC POLE is forced to cancel a class or a workshop, it will offer the students an alternative. 
– No refunds, except in case of pregnancy or moving abroad.
- No refunds or cancellations for the try-out workshops.

Late arrivals:
The student arrives at the class on time in order to participate in the warm up to reduce the risk of injury. The teacher reserves the right to refuse to allow the student to join the class if he/she is not warmed up properly.

Being able to cancel and get the credits back (if you cancel on time) is a special privilege that the studio gives to its students. It is absolutely not a due!
If you can't make it for any reason, there are only two options for getting your credit back.
1) You cancel on time on Eversport and get your credit back to take another course IF AND ONLY IF there is AVAILABILITY. If there is no spot available, you will lose your credit.
2) You submit a medical certificate within 24 hours. With a medical certificate, you can keep your credit(s) for the next session. You must also send an email to notify the school.
